HOW IT WORKS
Contaminated air is drawn by the motor/blower through a washable metal mesh pre-filter which traps large dust particles. The remaining particles, some as small as 0.01 microns, pass into a strong electrical field (ionizing section) where the particulate receives an electrical charge. The charged particles then pass into a collector plate section made up of a series of equally spaced parallel plates. Each alternate plate is charged with the same polarity as the particles, which repel, while the interleaving plates are grounded, which attract and collect the contaminants. The contaminants are held in these plates until they are washed away. RydAiR Electronic Air Cleaners trap both wet and dry particulates.
Cooking fumes is drawn into the hood by Rydair EAC RB2400 & RB4800. About 20% of the contaminants is removed by the grease filter in the cooker hood.
Up to 95% (Meets NIOSH 5026 Oil Mist Test- National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) of the cooking fumes & smoke is removed by RydAir RB2400 or RB4800 for airflow rate 2,400cmh & 4800cmh respectively. An optional charcoal filter Helps to reduce unwanted light cooking odour.
Clean air is discharged to the exterior of the building. Exterior of building remain clean.
